NEW THERAPIES

 

Some animals do not appreciate being handled several times a day, for administration of tablets or application of ointment for example.  Very often pets will tolerate this to begin with but then object to any further interference. This makes treatment with medication needed more than once a day sometimes difficult or impossible.

 

The range of drugs and preparations used in this service is designed, where possible, to use longer-lasting drug preparations. This facilitates treatment of animals by their owner at home and is easier and more convenient for those who work long hours during the day.

 

Chris also works closely with small biotech companies developing new medications for common illnesses and which need to be adminstered less frequently than commonly-used medication.
