There are several minor procedures that can be performed at home such as taking swabs for identification of infection, the removal of small skin polyps or treatment of torn claws. Some of these procedures may require your animal to be sedated, and any minor surgery such as surgical repair of wounds may also require a local anaesthetic. All of these procedures are generally quite safe but your pet may take some time to recover.

For more complex procedures such as surgery, X-rays  you can expect to be referred to a local practice or referral centre.
